I don't think it's so much as where you go next, as long as you have multiple trips booked in your Air Canada account ;) For me, Portugal with the Canadian National Agility Team!

Hi Lori. A fun read. It takes me back many years revisiting wonderful memories of our boys and the route my own life took depending on whether I turned right or left! Thanks for sharing. xo

Whenever I question the place I am in and how I got there, I have learned to answer the question in only one way. "I CHOSE TO BE WHERE I AM". I am not a victim, but simply the end result of my decisions. Sometimes I chose to partake, other times I chose to flee. And why did I make the decisions I made? It was because I was trying to find out who I was.

Early in my life, I made decisions that were reactionary. I saw challenges that had a pot of gold at the end, but I was afraid of them. So I ventured into worlds of comfort, places that made me feel at home.

Your soul is your home. Many places that looked like home were not. So I scrambled, tripped, fell, moved, and experienced many new relationships.

Now I am in my best place, not financially, or in terms of family unity, but with the river in which I paddle, which winds, speeds up, slows down, and sometimes washes me ashore. Places to share joy. And that spreads happiness, which can wrap itself around any misery we may feel at the time..

Another great post, Lori. At 74 I’m still asking where do I go next. I can honestly say I’m okay with all of the decisions in my life now. At one time I had regrets but today I see that all of those choices, ‘good’ and ‘bad’ brought me to great place in my life. They weren’t really good or bad, just the choices I made. And I am enjoying the journey-most days😊

Retiring? Holy Moly that went fast. Seems like yesterday.... And yes, of course I've not known where to go. But then I get to writing and I figure it out. I'm guessing I'm lucky in having a career that's truly a vocation too. On the other hand, my mind is never at rest.

I wish you all the best in your retirement Lisa. One thing I know about you, you live life to its fullest. Retirement is gonna be a blast.
